Current Event:Vietnam Participates in Asian Cycling Event
Vietnam's own cycling team will be participating at the Asian Cycling Championship 2015, which started on February 10th in Thailand. The team consists of 14 strong, which includes both male and female veterans that are famous in Vietnam such as Le Van Duan, Trinh Duc Tam and Nguyen Thanh Tam, Nguyen Thi That, Nguyen Thuy Dung and Phan Thi Lieu. The team had previously won a silver medal at the 17th Asian Games that was held in Incheon, South Korea last year. The race is a four-day event that includes 400 racers from 41 different countries and will compete from 10PM to midnight on Saturday February 14th. This will also give Vietnam and the other Southeast Asian countries a chance to prepare for the 28th SEA Games in Singapore which is being held in June.

Current Event: China propose more cooperation in New Year phone call
Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong (Vietnam) and Xi Jinping (China) began to discuss initiatives to foster cooperation by phone on Tuesday. This was in part of the Lunar New Year celebrations and the 65th anniversary of the Vietnam and China diplomatic ties. The initiatives focused on making high level exchanges and nurturing coordination between the two parties, agencies, and people. General Secretary Trong stated that in the past 65 years, the Vietnam and China political ties have been a crucial factor in each nations triumphs and are an invaluable asset to each other that must be upheld, preserved and inherited.
